Courierly Terms of Service

1. The service

Courierly delivers text message notifications generated by automations you configure (yours or third-party tools you connect). We act as a delivery layer: we send you the messages your configured automation produces, and relay any reply you send back to your own email address. We do not generate, read, or control the underlying content of your source data (e.g. email, calendar), nor do we interpret or act on the content of your replies.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid U.S. or Canadian mobile number to use Courierly.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Anyone with your key can send messages through your account.
• You may request a new API key at any time, which immediately revokes the previous one.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the phone number(s) and email address you provide.

4. Additional phone numbers

You may add additional numbers to your account to receive the same messages as your primary number, subject to an additional charge per number (see pricing at signup). You may only add a number belonging to a person who personally completes the verification process for that number. Adding a number on behalf of someone who has not personally consented, or who does not wish to receive messages, is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

5. Two-way messaging

If you reply to a Courierly message, we relay the content of that reply to the email address on your account, unmodified. We do not guarantee that any action will be taken as a result of your reply — what happens next depends entirely on automations you control outside of Courierly. We are not responsible for delays, errors, or outcomes arising from how your own automation processes a relayed reply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Courierly to:

• Send content to anyone who hasn't opted in to receive it
• Add an additional number without that person's direct consent
• Send unlawful, harassing, or abusive content, including in replies
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or use the service as a general-purpose SMS relay for unrelated content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including via automated rate-limiting and abuse detection.

7. Message delivery

SMS delivery depends on third-party carriers and is not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier filtering, network issues, or incorrect contact information.

8. Subscription and billing

Pricing and billing terms, including any charges for additional phone numbers, will be presented to you at signup and may change with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms or misuse of the service.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Courierly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
